Damages – Customer Care Team- When it comes to hiring a moving company, it is essential to understand the potential risks involved, including the possibility of damages to your belongings during the moving process. We sincerely apologize for any damages you may have experienced during your move. Your satisfaction and the protection of your possessions are our utmost priorities, and we recognize that encountering damages can be both frustrating and concerning. 

To address the situation effectively, we must conduct a thorough investigation in accordance with our cargo insurance policy. This process is designed to ensure that we gather all relevant information pertaining to the damages incurred. We understand that each situation is unique, and we are committed to taking the necessary steps to resolve any issues as swiftly and efficiently as possible.

To facilitate this process, we kindly ask you to fill out our damage report form. This form is essential for us to collect detailed information about the specific damages you encountered, including descriptions of the items affected, the nature and extent of the damage, and any pertinent circumstances surrounding the incident. The more information you provide, the better equipped we will be to assist you and address your concerns.

Once we receive your completed damage report form, we will initiate our investigation and follow the necessary procedures outlined in our cargo insurance policy. Our team will review the information you provided and work to determine the best course of action to rectify the situation. Our goal is to ensure that you are fully supported throughout this process and that we can resolve any issues related to damages in a timely manner.

As much details as possible will help the insurance company process your claim within their policy.

If you clicked ” NO ” – By having a receipt it helps insurance find your fair market value of what the item is worth today.

This will help us gather the most accurate details as to what happened, To put a detailed claim together for insurance.

This will provide insurance with detailed information on the item

If you clicked ” NO ” – All Canadian cargo insurance holders must provide a base coverage of .60 per pound.

If you clicked ” NO ” – Insurance does not replace a item with a new one unless they are in ” Non usable / Loss Condition “

If you clicked ” NO ” – We will submit your claim on your behalf but insurance will decline the claim.

* Its the clients responsibility to proceed with this step ( Some clients refuse and we cant force a walkthrough )

If you clicked ” NO ” – The Insurance company will look at the ” Loss ” item if the falls under that category. Then they will calculate how old the item is, The previous damage to the item to determine its ” Fair Market Value “

If you clicked ” NO ” – The Insurance company doesn’t cover this product as its a assemble and not move type of item. The product is unfortunately not made to be moved and disassembled countless times.

If you clicked ” NO ” – The insurance company does not cover these items as antiques are priceless to some people and not to others. It’s extremely hard to come up with a worth. This is why we ask clients to move these items in their personal vehicle

If you clicked ” NO ” – The insurance company does not cover any electronics as most damages are internal. Sometimes you cant see damage. Therefore they wont cover these items as they are problematic. This is why we ask for these items to be moved in your personal vehicle

If you clicked ” NO ” – The insurance company does not cover client packed items. Packing for a move its very important to use bubble wrap, Lots of paper etc. Therefore they wont cover a third party packing of boxes. But they do cover our packing!

Having a photo, Reality company photos etc of this item being in the condition you stated above will help drastically in having your claim accepted by the insurance company.

If you clicked ” NO ” – Insurance handles all payouts, decisions, repairs etc. Take a load off moving does not subtract from the invoice or reimburse the client ourselves

If you clicked ” NO ” – Its very important to have the damages you found on the 4th page of the bill of lading and signed by both parties. Failure to do so could result in a denied claim by the insurance company.

If you clicked ” NO ” the documents were sent Via email with the estimate. And were agreed upon over email when confirmation of booking was made. And provided again in person today. If you have any questions feel free to give us a shout!

Please note it takes 14 days or more to gather your claim, the statements from crew, photos, proof and any other details to submit your claim properly, And then about another week to hear back from insurance. We will respond to you as soon as possible. Please note the delay of time does not mean your are not our top priority! We are working to make sure you get handled properly!
