Calgary and Edmonton routes from Vancouver Island

We serve Island origins from Nanaimo, Victoria, Duncan, Parksville and other approved Vancouver Island communities. The pickup side is planned around the actual property, inventory and access, while applicable Canada-wide transportation can be coordinated through our Great Canadian Van Lines relationship.

Why Island-to-Alberta moves need different planning

• The shipment starts on Vancouver Island, so ferry or mainland-transfer logistics matter.
• Condo elevators, rural driveways, loading zones and possession windows can affect origin timing.
• Storage may be needed when Alberta possession dates do not match pickup dates.
• Long-distance inventory and delivery details should be confirmed before loading.

More than just transportation

Long-haul customers can also request packing, moving supplies and storage in our Nanaimo facilities. Our two facilities provide more than 8,000 sq. ft. of warehouse and storage space.

Great Canadian Van Lines relationship

For applicable Canada-wide moves, Take A Load Off Moving coordinates the Vancouver Island origin side while long-distance transportation can be coordinated through Great Canadian Van Lines. TALO is listed by GCVL as its Nanaimo agent.
